Azimut|Benetti Group has named Andrea Antichi as the new General Manager of the Azimut division, effective May 12, 2025.
Reporting directly to CEO Marco Valle, Antichi is tasked with shaping the strategic direction of the division and driving both economic and industrial goals—especially at a time when Azimut’s production capabilities are undergoing significant transformation and modernization.
Antichi brings a robust industrial background to the role. A mechanical engineer by training, he began his career in technical research at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institutes before moving into engineering roles at Piaggio.

In 2006, he joined Ferrari, where he climbed the ranks in manufacturing operations, eventually becoming Chief Manufacturing Officer—a role he held until his transition to Azimut. His career reflects a strong blend of innovation, operational excellence, and leadership within Italy’s most prestigious industrial sectors.
His appointment reflects Azimut’s broader strategic evolution, which aims to integrate top-tier management talent from outside the traditional yachting world. The goal: to inject fresh, cross-industry perspectives into the nautical sector and drive forward-looking innovation.
A key part of this evolution is the transformation of the Avigliana plant, which now produces vessels up to 26 meters—marking a major milestone in Azimut’s growth strategy.
CEO Marco Valle emphasized that Antichi’s leadership is crucial as the company embraces a more structured and innovation-led approach to production.
Valle expressed confidence that Antichi’s experience and managerial acumen will help streamline operations, boost efficiency, and elevate quality standards.
Reflecting on his new role, Antichi remarked, “After nineteen years at Ferrari, a symbol of Italian automotive excellence in the world, I have chosen to come aboard excellence in the nautical industry.”
Azimut|Benetti Group also extended its gratitude to Daniele Romiti, who has served as General Manager since 2022.
Romiti oversaw significant enhancements to production infrastructure and led sustainability initiatives, including the adoption of self-generated energy systems and circular economy models—laying a strong foundation for the company’s next chapter.
