Azimut has won the prestigious Design Innovation Award 2024 for its groundbreaking Seadeck 7, the first full-hybrid yacht under 24 meters.
The award, presented by Confindustria Nautica and I Saloni Nautici, recognizes the yacht in the “motor boats over 14 meters” category for its innovative integration of hybrid power and sustainable design. This marks the second consecutive year Azimut has been recognized for its excellence in innovation and design.
The Seadeck 7 is a product of collaboration between Azimut and designer Alberto Mancini for its exterior lines, along with Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez for the interiors.

This hybrid yacht offers a 40% reduction in emissions compared to similarly sized boats, thanks to its advanced architecture. Thirty percent of this reduction is due to its lightweight carbon structure and efficient hull design, while the remaining 10% comes from the hybrid propulsion system and electrification technologies.
This yacht is the first to combine hybrid power with Volvo Penta’s IPS propulsion, a revolutionary hybrid-electric package developed in partnership with Azimut Benetti Group’s R&D team.
The system allows for fully electric cruising at speeds up to 11 knots and seamless switching between electric and thermal engines, similar to a hybrid car. Additionally, Hybrid Boost provides powerful acceleration, energy recovery, and fast battery recharging.
The yacht’s batteries can power on-board systems for up to 12 hours in silent mode, offering a serene and eco-friendly experience, even in zero-emission zones.
The Seadeck 7 opens new possibilities for medium-sized yachts, bringing the advantages of hybrid technology to family-operated motor yachts for the first time. This achievement reinforces Azimut’s commitment to sustainability and innovative yacht design.
