The Baglietto T52 has clinched the 2024 World Superyacht Award in the “Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and below, 45m and above” category. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, with interiors crafted in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, the yacht triumphed at the prestigious awards ceremony held at the Venice Arsenal.
The award was presented by a jury of owners and experts from Boat International magazine, who praised the T52 for its spacious 135-square-meter sundeck, innovative aft area with a multi-level beach club, and a 3.7-meter-long pool with a retractable floor. The judges also commended the yacht’s hybrid propulsion system, which enhances fuel efficiency and reduces environmental impact.
“This award fills us with pride and particular emotion,” commented CEO Diego Michele Deprati. “It recognizes a project on which we have built not only the Baglietto of today, but also that of tomorrow and the near future. In this year, which marks Baglietto’s 170th anniversary, this accolade affirms our tradition of innovation and vision for the future.”
The T52, the first hull in a successful line with eight sales in three years, exemplifies Baglietto’s blend of classic and contemporary design. Its distinctive features include an open stern with a beach club spread over three levels and a sun deck unmatched in its category. The yacht also offers large, full-height windows on three sides of the upper deck, creating a versatile “al fresco” lounge and dining area.
Baglietto, a historic shipyard specializing in the construction of aluminum and steel yachts ranging from 35 to 65 meters, operates from its headquarters in La Spezia and an additional site in Carrara. Recent investments have modernized its facilities, including the addition of new sheds and the largest travel lift in Europe, capable of handling yachts up to 65 meters.
This latest accolade underscores Baglietto’s commitment to innovation and excellence in yacht design and construction, reinforcing its position as a leader in the luxury yacht industry.
