Project Iron Man exemplifies Benetti’s unwavering dedication to yacht-building excellence. The custom 80-meter yacht was recently handed over to its new owner by Joe Foggia of Northrop & Johnson in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with the Benetti Americas office providing essential support. This client, a devoted Benetti owner, sought the company’s renowned expertise to craft a yacht at the cutting edge of design, technology, and maritime performance. With exteriors crafted by Giorgio Maria Cassetta and his Designers Team, this mega yacht upholds the highest standards of elegance and quality of life.
Daniela Petrozzi, Sales Director at Benetti Yachts, highlighted the significance of this project, stating, “We are immensely proud of this yacht. It represents a major milestone for the owner, a cherished loyal customer, and for us as a shipyard, as we continue to push the boundaries of design, technology, and luxury. This new build solidifies our valued relationship and our mutual commitment to excellence.”

Having been captivated by the aesthetics, functionality, and reliability of Benetti from a previous vessel, the owner returned to the shipyard to further refine a shared vision, deeply engaging in the design process. A major focus was the creation of expansive outdoor entertaining areas to host the owner’s multi-generational family, providing the serene and picturesque settings they have come to enjoy on their current Benetti, ensuring the tranquility they treasure.
“The owner and their team highly value the open and accommodating experience Benetti is renowned for, alongside their ability to ensure a mutually beneficial outcome for all parties involved,” commented Joe F. Foggia, Yacht Broker and New Construction Expert with Northrop & Johnson.
Giorgio M. Cassetta, the mastermind behind the exteriors of Project Iron Man, remarked, “We are honored to craft a new, stunning design for a client who has shown us unwavering support since our first meeting five years ago. His dedication and that of his family to the design process will be pivotal in creating a new masterpiece.”
The delivery of Project Iron Man is expected in late 2028, marking the start of a new era for its owners and a proud accomplishment for Benetti.
