Heesen Yachts is thrilled to announce the launch of YN 20955, known as Project Agnetha, the latest addition to their esteemed 55-metre Steel series. This remarkable vessel, with its profile designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, boasts a bold and modern aesthetic that seamlessly blends contemporary design elements with traditional craftsmanship.
Project Agnetha stretches 55 metres and offers an internal volume of 760 GT. It features an ultra-efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form, allowing it to reach a top speed of 15.5 knots while maintaining exceptional fuel efficiency. The exterior, envisioned by Omega Architects, and the interior, crafted by Luca Dini Design and Architecture, combine to create an unparalleled yachting experience. The yacht can comfortably accommodate 12 guests in six luxurious staterooms and is serviced by a crew of 13, with delivery scheduled for Q2 2025.

The design of Project Agnetha emphasizes horizontal lines that enhance its visual length, complemented by large expanses of tinted glass on both the main and upper decks. Its distinctive ‘shark tooth’ motif on the wheelhouse overhang and the elimination of fashion plates result in a sleek, pillar-free superstructure. This innovative design not only improves the indoor/outdoor flow but also ensures unobstructed sea views from almost every vantage point, including the sky lounge. Additionally, the absence of window mullions in the main deck dining area strengthens the yacht’s connection to its surroundings.
Underneath its stylish exterior, Project Agnetha is a marvel of engineering. The yacht’s ultra-efficient Fast Displacement hull, powered by two MTU 8V4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) engines, enables it to navigate safely in all sea conditions. This makes it an ideal blue-water motor yacht, capable of undertaking long voyages with ease.
Mark Cavendish, Heesen’s CCO, remarks, “The Heesen 55-metre Steel Class is continuously evolving, and Project Agnetha epitomizes this progress. The advantage of purchasing a superyacht from Heesen is that the shipyard handles all technical aspects, perfecting the platform through continuous feedback from brokers, owners, and captains. Clients can then focus on the enjoyable process of customizing their yacht to their preferences.”
Agnetha’s accommodation is meticulously designed to host twelve guests across six opulent staterooms. This includes a spacious owners’ suite on the main deck forward, complete with separate his and hers dressing rooms and bathrooms, and a private veranda on the starboard side. The lower deck houses four guest cabins, while the bridge deck features a VIP suite. This thoughtful layout is ideal for both charter use and owners who prefer a variety of cabin options.
The interior by Luca Dini Design and Architecture exudes a cozy, traditional atmosphere, utilizing a warm color palette to create a welcoming and hospitable environment. This makes Project Agnetha the perfect retreat for extended stays on the water.
Niels Vaessen, CEO of Heesen Yachts, states, “The Heesen 55-metre Steel Class is a prime example of intelligent superyacht construction. Over the past decade, we have honed our platform and optimized our supply chain through strategic collaborations with suppliers. This approach allows us to offer our clients shortened delivery times, extensive customization options, and the finest Dutch craftsmanship.”
Vaessen continues, “Heesen has always been a leader in superyacht innovation. We pioneered speculative build projects in the early 2000s with our successful 37-metre series, expanding our range to include the 44, 47, and 50-metre yachts. Today, we are at the forefront of the 50 to 57-metre segment, a testament to our bold and strategic vision.”
With its modern elegance, exceptional performance, and limitless luxury, Project Agnetha is poised to set new standards in the yachting world. Available for delivery in Q2 2025, this superyacht promises an extraordinary seafaring experience.
