Heesen Yachts Returns to Dutch Ownership Under Laurens Last
Dutch shipbuilding icon Heesen Yachts has been fully acquired by entrepreneur and yachtsman Laurens Last, securing the brand’s future and reaffirming its legacy of excellence in luxury yacht construction.
The strategic move ensures Heesen remains rooted in Dutch craftsmanship while expanding its global presence.

The acquisition follows a record-breaking 2024, with Heesen reporting EUR 209 million in revenue and EUR 17 million in EBITDA, underscoring the company’s strong financial position.
Under Last’s leadership, Heesen will pursue international growth, technological innovation, and continue setting new standards in yacht design.

Heesen is the only fully integrated yacht builder in the Netherlands, overseeing every stage of production in-house—from concept to interior finish—delivering unmatched quality and customization.
Founded in 1978, Heesen has launched over 200 motor yachts between 50 and 80 metres and is globally renowned for its innovation and craftsmanship.
