Heesen Yachts is thrilled to announce the christening and delivery of YN 20350, MY ALP. This significant event was celebrated in Hellevoetsluis, South Holland, where ALP has been docked following the successful completion of rigorous North Sea tests, gearing up for her maiden voyage.
Mark Cavendish, Heesen’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed, “This time-honoured maritime tradition not only forges a bond between the vessel, the shipyard, the crew, and the sea but also invokes a sense of pride and anticipation for ALP’s future journeys.
On behalf of everyone at Heesen, I would like to express our gratitude to Jim Evans and his team at Superyachts Monaco for their exceptional collaboration on this project.”
ALP is part of Heesen’s successful 50-meter semi-displacement series. Her exterior, designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, exudes a sporty elegance while boasting a top speed of 23 knots. ALP offers a unique blend of fast cruising, comfort, and luxury, achieved through intelligent engineering, precise aluminum construction, and meticulous weight management.
Heesen stands out as one of the few shipyards capable of in-house aluminum hull construction to the finest tolerances, a discipline requiring a mix of education, technical skill, focus, and stamina. This precise engineering, exact construction, and effective project management ensure that weight control meets strict standards without compromising luxury.
The creative collaboration between Cristiano Gatto’s team and Heesen’s in-house engineers resulted in a luxurious interior that meets the high expectations of her discerning owners. ALP’s contemporary yet comfortable interior spans nearly 380 square meters, providing an ideal retreat after an active day at sea. Heesen Interiors, the company’s fine cabinet-making division based in Winterswijk, enabled last-minute customizations to match the client’s tastes perfectly.
ALP’s generous outdoor spaces are designed for entertaining at sea. The expansive sundeck, partially sheltered by a hardtop, features a whirlpool surrounded by sun pads aft, a fully equipped bar, a dining area, and a forward seating area.
The wheelhouse deck aft terrace is perfect for al fresco dining, seamlessly connecting with the sky lounge through flush sliding doors to create a vast indoor-outdoor area. The main deck aft includes raised sun pads and an adjacent bar, providing privacy when docked stern-to in a marina and allowing a full-height beach club below.
When the transom door is open, it creates a seamless connection with the beach club, forming a desirable space by the sea that is sure to be the center of entertainment onboard ALP.
With a shallow draft of just 2.1 meters, ALP is ideal for exploring the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas. Her 50-meter length makes her perfect for entering charming Mediterranean ports like Portofino and Saint Tropez.
ALP has embarked on her maiden voyage from the Netherlands to the Mediterranean, marking the beginning of her journeys across the seas.
