An award-winning superyacht caught fire and sank in the Mediterranean in front of stunned tourists.
The £14m vessel, called Atina, went down while anchored off Le Saline Beach in Olbia, Sardinia, Italy, on Saturday (10 August).
The 16 Turkish tourists on board managed to escape the blaze on the yacht’s tender, as reported by Luxury Boat News.

They were collected by firefighters and coastguards and there were no reported injuries.
Among those on board was Serkan Borançılı, who owned the 47-m-long vessel.
The entrepreneur co-founded the grocery delivery app Getir in 2015.
Footage from the Olbia Coast Guard shows the yacht sinking while being doused with an extinguisher.
It ended up on the seabed about 7m deep.
Local media said on Monday (12 Aug) that clean-up operations were underway.
The yacht was carrying about 50,000l of fuel, but the Olbia Port Authority said no spills had been detected.
Atina was last sold in 2021 for more than €16m (£14m).
It won an award at the World Superyacht Awards in 2009.
The fire began in Atina’s engine compartment for reasons that are still a mystery.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
