Lürssen is thrilled to announce the successful delivery of its second new build in just two months. The latest superyacht to set sail from the shipyard is HAVEN, previously known as Project CALI. She began her maiden voyage on June 17, 2024.
The vision for HAVEN’s concept and exterior design was brought to life in-house at Lürssen by Jim Robert Sluijter. With a sleek, low profile and elegant lines that flow gracefully from bow to stern, HAVEN exudes a sense of majestic athleticism. A standout feature of her design is the sinuous concave patterns adorning her superstructure, mimicking the movement of waves when bathed in sunlight.
Jim Robert Sluijter, Lead Exterior Designer at Lürssen, shared: “The Owner was captivated by the initial outline, so HAVEN has remained largely unchanged from the original sketch. She offers a distinctive experience compared to many other yachts, with a practical and functional design that emphasizes outdoor living. The interplay of light and glazing ensures a seamless connection between the interior spaces and the outdoors.”

Complementing her sleek exterior, HAVEN’s interior was crafted by the British studio RWD. The interior design embraces natural and pure materials, featuring asymmetrical shapes and a dynamic layout. Mattia Mazzucchi, Head of Interiors at RWD, explained: “We collaborated closely with the Owners and their family to create a unique design vocabulary, with carefully crafted details that make the interior playful yet timeless.
Curated pieces and custom designs fill every inch of HAVEN, making it beautiful, personal, and functional. Vibrant artworks draw the eye at every turn, embodying a bold, confident, and fun aesthetic where the joy of colour is paramount.”
HAVEN spans 82 metres in length and boasts a beam of 12.5 metres, placing her among the world’s largest tri-deck superyachts. Designed for an experienced Owner with an active lifestyle, HAVEN features ample outdoor spaces, a family-friendly layout, and plenty of storage for water toys and diving gear. Highlights include a 300-square-metre sun deck with a 2.5-metre ceiling height and moveable windbreak panels, as well as a spacious beach club with single-step sea terraces for easy sea access.
Peter Lürssen praised the collaborative efforts involved in the construction of HAVEN, stating: “Kees de Keizer and his team, who managed the build on behalf of the Owner, along with RWD, were exceptional partners throughout the project. The strong relationships they established with our employees were pivotal. I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone involved in HAVEN; the final outcome reflects their excellent communication and dedication.”
Lürssen’s collaboration with leading design houses is complemented by their in-house design team, offering additional value to clients. HAVEN exemplifies Lürssen’s dedication to prioritizing Owners and showcasing their versatility as a premier custom superyacht builder, reinforcing their position at the forefront of the industry.
